The way we use land for activities such as growing crops, dairy farming, or simply commuting to work in a busy city environment, result in ‘pollutants’ accumulating on the land surface. Understanding the hydrological, chemical and biological processes involved in the transport of such diffuse pollutants from land to rivers, lakes and estuaries, is the cornerstone of our practice.
